Dead and Gone Does not Mean Lost and Forgotten

The most common question when someone dies

Is most simply to ask "why?"

It's something that no one expects

Something that no one rejects

No one is prepared for the loss of a friend

No one is prepared for that relationship to end

They are always remembered forever in our hearts

Gone from this earth but we're never truly apart

He was a friend to some and a brother to others

In time it is pain from which we shall recover

Gone from our lives but never from our hearts

A young mans legacy from which we will never depart
